Christmas at Thanksgiving

We have now officially recovered from our whirlwind tour of Grand Rapids, MI over the Thanksgiving holiday. We planned to celebrate Thanksgiving and early Christmas with both the Brechting and Hollebeek families. It was an ambitious plan from the start. Just before Thanksgiving we unexpectedly lost Emily's dear great-aunt Eleanor. So the joy of Thanksgiving and Christmas also included days of grieving and remembrance. She was fiercely loved and will be greatly missed.
After the Thanksgiving holiday, Phil spent a workweek in Portland, OR. The Lexington contingent called on friends and Grandma H to help navigate that busy week. We're all back together and settled into our idea of a routine. We're looking forward to celebrating Christmas in Lexington. We're adventuring out this weekend to cut down our tree. We'll be sure to post those pictures!
